We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bioinformatician who will help our
Bioinformatician Team deploy and operate different systems and different data related to health.
The successful candidate will be in charge of the specification and documentation of the new project features. In addition, they will develop new features, and write scripts for automation.
You will be working together with the bioinformatician team, reporting directly to the Clinical Bioinformatics Director.
Duties
- Maintain, develop, and improve our deployment pipelines.
- Manage and develop the storage process of health data.
- Apply upgrades and monitor our health data storage
Required Skills
- Experience working in Linux environments (Unix tools, Bash scripting, SSH, Unix
filesystem…).
- Experience in scripting language (Python is preferred).
- Knowledge of general genetics and genetic inheritance.
- Academic training in both Computer Sciences and Life Sciences (ie, Degree + Master in course).
- Experience using public databases (ClinVar, dbSNP, Reactome, OMIM, GO, PharmGKB,
etc) will be valued.
- Professional working proficiency, written and spoken, both in Spanish and English.
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
- Academic training in both Computer Sciences and Life Sciences (ie, Degree + Master in course).
